Catherine Beale is a painter from Bath who met Fay when visiting Pier Cottage one summer. Whilst holidaying beside Coniston Water she rowed out to its islands with her young family, climbed The Old Man of Coniston and explored the wonderful Grizedale Forest with her Spanish Water Dog Zorro - all of which fed into her watercolour illustrations of “Wilson and Fay”.
Catherine drops pure colour into flowing water to create “gravity paintings” in colours which have been influenced by over a decade living in Asia. Catherine exhibits widely, including with the Society of Women Artists and at the Royal Watercolour Society's exhibition in London.
